CROOK GRATEFUL FOR HIS 'UNUSUAL' LOOKS

British actor MACKENZIE CROOK is grateful for his odd appearance - and is convinced his success is down to his unusual facial features. The 36-year-old - who starred in hit TV comedy The Office - now uses his looks to land film roles, including a part in Pirates Of The Caribbean. Crook says, "(The Office creator and comedian) Ricky Gervais once described me as looking like one of those little birds who've fallen out of their nest that you find lying on the pavement. I read somewhere else that I looked cadaver-like - that means I look like a corpse, for God's sake. "I don't mind being known as that skinny, odd-looking bloke from The Office because I am sure if I put on weight or become a little healthier looking, the roles would soon dry up."
