Nicole Richie is driving Joel Madden crazy.

The socialite - who is seven months pregnant with her second child with the Good Charlotte rocker - is driving her friends and loved-ones mad with her pregnancy hormones and demands.

Her father, singer Lionel Richie, revealed: "She's not having cravings but she's driving me and Joel crazy!"

The 59-year-old musician is thrilled about becoming a grandfather for the second time but admits the couple are keeping the sex of the child secret from him because they are worried he will let it slip.

He explained: "It's very exciting. Joel is hoping for a boy, but knowing Nicole she's hoping for a little girl again. They're not telling me what sex the baby is because I'll tell everyone!"

According to the 'All Night Long' star, Nicole - who already raises 16-month-old Harlow with Joel - loves being a mother and has embraces her maternal instincts fully.

He added: "Nicole is the mom of moms. She's in love with the whole concept."
