CRAWFORD TO REPLACE DEMPSEY AS FACE OF VERSACE?

GOSSIP GIRL star CHACE CRAWFORD is in talks to take over from PATRICK DEMPSEY as the face of Versace, according to reports.
The actor fuelled rumours that he would promote the label after he was pictured wearing the designer's suits at recent high profile parties, including New York's Fashion Rocks event, Sunday's (07Sep08) MTV Video Music Awards, and co-star Blake Lively's 21st birthday party.
And officials at the fashion house have refused to confirm or deny speculation that Crawford is set to take over from Dempsey, who has been the face of the brand since the launch of this year's (08) spring/summer line.
A spokesperson for Versace says, "We have been working hard to develop our relationship with Chace - and that is all we can say on the subject. Patrick Dempsey is contracted with us through Spring/Summer 2009. It is undetermined who will replace him at this time."
