COYNE TURNED ASHTRAY CONTENTS INTO COLESLAW

FLAMING LIPS frontman WAYNE COYNE has confessed he used to mash up ashtray treats in coleslaw when he worked as a fry cook at a Long John Silver's fast food restaurant in his native Oklahoma.
The singer reveals part of his job entailed mixing up buckets of coleslaw, and the bored teen would find ways to make the hours fly by.
He tells Spin magazine, "I worked there for 12 years, so I made a lot of that (coleslaw) and I would get bored.
"So I'd dump ashtrays literally right into the coleslaw and run it through the cutter, just to see if people would notice.
"They'd say, 'Oh, something was in my coleslaw.' And I'd be like, 'Oh, don't know about that.'"
