COWELL AND SEYMOUR SETTLE SNEAKER DISPUTE

Music mogul SIMON COWELL and his ex-girlfriend TERRI SEYMOUR have settled a legal dispute with a chef over a pair of sneakers - handing over a cash settlement amounting to less than $100 (£66).
The former couple was named in a small claims lawsuit by a woman who had previously applied for the job of personal chef at Cowell's Los Angeles home.
The unnamed female alleged Seymour had forced her to remove her shoes when she arrived for a trial shift - but accidentally left them behind when she left the property.
She accused the stars of failing to return the running shoes, which had been fitted with $500 (£365) orthopaedic insoles - and sued them for $661.59 (£441.06) to cover the cost of the footwear and other expenses.
Cowell and Seymour, who insisted they were not at fault for the misplaced sneakers, have now put an end to the legal action by returning the shoes and paying for the chef's estimated $75 (£50) in court costs, reports TMZ.com.
They have also handed over the $9 (£6) she claimed to have spent on gas driving to and from the L.A. house in her bid to reclaim her items.
The American Idol judge and Seymour have remained close since their split last year (08).
