COVERDALE: 'I'M NOT SEXIST'
WHITESNAKE rocker DAVID COVERDALE has hit back at people who label his songs "sexist" - insisting the lyrics have been misinterpreted.
The former Deep Purple frontman hates being called a chauvinist after critics wrongly interpret his tracks as being derogatory towards women.
But the singer insists his raunchy lyrics are actually complimenting the female sex.
He says, "People think that I don't like women. I had a realisation after I had a string of hits about heartbreak - that people were confusing their meaning, thinking they were sexist when I thought they were sexy."
