COURIC LOSES; RATHER WINS AT NEWS EMMYS
CBS News With Katie Couric went away empty-handed at the 29th Annual News and Documentary Emmy Awards in New York. But Couric's predecessor, Dan Rather, was a winner for an episode of his HDNet program Dan Rather Reports titled "Combat Photographer," employing HDTV footage taken during the Iraq war by U.S. Marine Chief Warrant Officer Sean Fairburn. PBS was the big winner of the night with 10 Emmys. The CBS shows Sunday Morning and 60 Minutes combined for five.
