COSTNER RACES INTO NASCAR DEAL

KEVIN COSTNER has signed a new one-year deal with U.S. racing organisation NASCAR to provide them with personal appearances and music.
The movie star and his country-rock band Modern West will debut their new video Backyard on NASCAR.com next week (08Dec08) and in return, Costner made an appearance at the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Awards banquet on Friday (05Dec08).
The actor will also narrate new documentary The Ride of Their Lives, which revolves around the motor racing world.
Costner says, "As a long time NASCAR fan, I'm very excited about this partnership."
The actor's relationship with NASCAR began on 11 November (08) when Modern West performed during a pre-race concert before the Coke Zero 400 at Daytona International Speedway.
