COSTNER ACCEPTS DOWNSIDE OF MOVIE CAREER
US actor KEVIN COSTER knew he couldn't be Hollywood's golden boy forever but says he wouldn't have it any other way. Costner's career hit the top during the 1990s after starring in films such as ROBIN HOOD: PRINCE OF THIEVES and the Oscar winning DANCES WITH WOLVES. However some of his later films, such as WATERWORLD and THE POSTMAN were slammed by Hollywood and audiences alike. Costner says, "I have always taken a realistic view of how Hollywood works. What goes up must come down. You get older, you're no longer the new kid on the block, you make mistakes. You are only human and things can go wrong for a time, just as they can go right. "So you can get laughed at, or ridiculed for taking on a big challenge. But unless you take risks, how can you know?"
