CORNELL IS FANS' FAVOURITE TO REPLACE WEILAND

Rocker CHRIS CORNELL is a favourite to replace SCOTT WEILAND in VELVET REVOLVER, according to a new online poll.
Rock fans voted the former Soundgarden and Audioslave frontman as their pick to take over singing duties from Weiland, who departed the group last week (31Mar08), over Buckcherry star Josh
Todd.
Weiland's own pick, Sebastian Bach, came in third ahead of Eric Dover from Slash's Snakepit and former Guns 'N Roses star Izzy Stradlin.
The poll was staged by RollingStone.com.

Yeaaah... really show's how "with it" the fan's of "The Project" are. Cornell split with Audioslave because he didn't like them running thing's by the "A&R" guy before making their own decisions. Since, he's been the happiest he's ever been in his life. He's toured and played the greatest live show's of his life. Completely re-invented and rejuvenated himself, and is presently working on the next solo album, to be produced by Timbaland. I definitely think he's in a REAL hurry to jump into another "supergroup" (loosely), with guy's that make Rage look like the Church Choir. These guys lie, continue to use drugs, stab everyone including each other in the back, and you think he want's to deal with them?? If they're TOOOO disfunctional for Weiland AND Axl to deal with!? They must be a first class case...

I think Chris Cornell would make a great singer for VR but I'd prefer to watch CC solo career grow and evolve. Chris Rocks!
