CORNELL CHANGES HIS MIND ABOUT SOUNDGARDEN REUNION
CHRIS CORNELL has changed his mind about reuniting his former band SOUNDGARDEN - insisting he'd "never count out" the idea.
The singer recently ruled out the suggestion, insisting a reformed Soundgarden would never live up to his expectations.
He said, "My fear would be that we wouldn't tap into the greatness we felt when we were on our game."
But a mini-reunion of former bandmates Kim Thayil, Ben Shepherd and Matt Cameron at a gig in Seattle, Washington, on 24 March (09) has forced Cornell to rethink his plans.
He says, “(I'm) never going to count anything out.
“There was never any bad blood between us. I’ve always remained on great terms with everyone in the band. We’ve always been good friends. Seeing them reunite recently on YouTube? I thought that was terrific. It gave me a warm feeling. I wish I could have been there.”
Soundgarden split in 1997.
