CORGAN: 'AMERICAN WOMEN ARE SLUTS'

SMASHING PUMPKINS frontman BILLY CORGAN has launched a scathing attack on American women - branding them "sluts". The Tonight, Tonight rocker spoke out against a legion of U.S. females at English music festival Reading on Sunday (26Aug07), but excused his comments because he is 'an alternative' star. Halfway through the band's set, he caught sight of a woman in a skimpy outfit - to which he said, "There's something about a girl who's willing to take her top off so quickly." He told the crowd, "American girls are sluts too. "See - isn't it great to be alternative - you can say all those things."
