COOPER TRIES TO WIN BACK EX-GIRLFRIEND

British actor DOMINIC COOPER is reportedly still pining for his childhood sweetheart after they split following his affair with MAMMA MIA! co-star AMANDA SEYFRIED.
Heartthrob Cooper, 30, was dumped by girlfriend of 12 years - personal assistant Joanna Carolan - in September (08) after reports surfaced suggesting he enjoyed a fling with Seyfried.
Friends of Cooper tell British newspaper The Mail on Sunday he is now dating Seyfried, but is also unwilling to give up on his former love.
One pal insists that although he was dumped by Carolan, Cooper still believes she will take him back.
The friend adds, "Dominic is playing with fire. He has Amanda but he's not prepared to give up Joanna. Even though it's meant to be over, he still calls her all the time."
However, ex-love Carolan, who is writing a comedy act for a London theatre, claims she has moved on.
She says, "Yes, it's over. We have had 12 glorious years together but there is no going back."
A spokesman for Cooper says, "We never comment on Dominic's private life."
Seyfried's publicist was unavailable for comment.
