CHRISTIAN BALE became the butt of the joke on U.S. satirical show SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE when actor BRADLEY COOPER poked fun at his much-publicised on-set rant.A tape featuring The Dark Knight star raging about an assistant director who ruined his concentration during a tense scene on the set of Terminator Salvation was leaked to the media 10 days ago, forcing Bale to apologise for the profanity-laden rant.
He has been ridiculed for his actions on a series of late-night U.S. chat shows but SNL's skit on Saturday (07Feb09) was by far the funniest.
In the segment, Cooper - who was hosting the show - mimicked the Welsh actor trying to keep his cool while promoting a bogus DVD featuring a collection of the best celebrity tirades.
Cooper, as Bale, eventually lost his temper when a lighting crew member kept coming into shot.
