COOLIO WISHES HE COULD HAVE PLAYED AT OBAMA INAUGURATION

Rapper Coolio has said he would have liked to have performed at president Barack Obama's inauguration ceremony on Wednesday.

The Celebrity Big Brother housemates were allowed to watch the historic event despite an apparent ban on contact with the outside world during the three-week show.

Coolio and LaToya Jackson managed to convince Big Brother in the diary room to let them watch the inauguration, with the former describing it as one of the most important days of their lives.

Coolio added he never thought he would see the day a black man was sworn in as the president of the United States.

Big Brother agreed to show the housemates a recording of the inauguration, much to the joy of LaToya and Coolio.
