COOLIO SET FOR REHAB

Rapper-turned-reality TV star COOLIO has escaped jail after pleading guilty to drug possession in court on Friday (26Jun09).
The Gangsta's Paradise hitmaker, real name Artis Leon Ivey Jr., is set to enter an 18-month drug rehabilitation program in exchange for remaining a free man.
He was charged with possessing cocaine, and misdemeanour counts of battery and possession of drug paraphernalia after a scuffle with security staff at Los Angeles' LAX airport on 6 March (09).
He had previously entered a not guilty plea and faced up to three years behind bars if convicted - but pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine at Friday's hearing.
The charges of battery and possession of a smoking device were then dropped.
The rapper is due back in court on 28 September (09) for a progress report.
