COOGAN WANTS TO BECOME AN AMERICAN
Comedian STEVE COOGAN wants to quit Britain for Hollywood, and is even considering applying for American citizenship.
The star - famous for his characters Alan Partridge and Paul Calf - has broken into Hollywood, landing roles in movies Night at the Museum and Tropic Thunder.
But he's desperate to become a Tinseltown regular, so he can stay in Los Angeles full-time and switch nationalities.
During an appearance on comedian Craig Ferguson's L.A.-based chat show, Ferguson told Coogan how he became a U.S. citizen last year (08).
Coogan said, "I'd be very tempted to do that. I really would. I need to get more work out here first though."
