CONNOLLY TO STAR IN X FILES FILM

Scottish comedian BILLY CONNOLLY is set to appear alongside DAVID DUCHOVNY and GILLIAN ANDERSON in the forthcoming X FILES film. It is unknown what role the veteran actor will play in the follow-up to 1998's big-screen version of the hit TV series, but the 65-year-old is believed to be a big fan of the cult sci-fi show. A source says, "Billy is certainly on board and will begin filming shortly. Apparently he's always like The X Files so he was keen to be involved." The as-yet-unnamed film is slated for release next year (08).
