CONNELLY WATCHED BETTANY BOND WITH SON

Actress JENNIFER CONNELLY knew she was destined to be with PAUL BETTANY - because he immediately bonded with her shy son.
The star met the Wimbledon actor on the set of 2001 movie A Beautiful Mind and introduced him to her then four-year-old son Kai.
And it was seeing Bettany's positive effect on the youngster's confidence that convinced Connelly he was the man for her.
She tells Britain's Harper's Bazaar magazine, "One of my first memories of Paul was him hanging out with Kai in my trailer one day, during filming. They were playing, and they had all the cushions out and they'd made some sort of obstacle course.
"And I remember, at that age, Kai was very attached to me and came with me everywhere, so at a certain point, I said, 'I'm going to go next-door to the make-up trailer. Do you wanna come?' And he said, 'No, I'm going to stay here.'
"The two of them just hit it off immediately."
The couple married in 2003 and have a five-year-old son, Stellan.
