COMMON LOVES LIFE WITHOUT MODERN TECHNOLOGY

Rapper COMMON refuses to step into the digital age and set up an email account - because he prefers talking to people face-to-face. The Go! star - real name Lonnie Rashid Lynn Jr. - admits he has no plans to buy a computer anytime soon as "life is good" without the hassle of modern technology. He says, "I don't own a computer and I don't have an email address. Life is good without a computer for me. If you can't get eye-to-eye with me then I need to hear your voice."

I first heard about this on Global Grind's myspace blog (http://blog.myspace.com/theglobalgrind) and I thought it was interesting, I agree with HipHopHustler's view

Think about when you're at the movies and you have to at the least put your phone on vibrate for an hour or two, and you can't help but look at see what time it is, who's texting you, who's calls you missed, and when you're feelin' real brave--check your voicemail in the middle of the moving, trying to hide the light in your hoody. And when we are out all day and stop by your friend's spot, the first think you say, "hey i gotta check my myspace...come on man let me check my email!" Would you really be able to survive without keeping in touch via internet..then you'd actually have to get off your ass and go out.....like Common, maybe.
