COLLINS LANDS TV DEAL WITH IDOL PRODUCERS
Author JACKIE COLLINS has signed a new deal with the producers of TV talent show AMERICAN IDOL to bring her sexy bestsellers to the small screen.
FremantleMedia executives, who also produce game show THE PRICE IS RIGHT, will develop dramas with Collins, as part of the new TV deal.
Collins tells trade magazine Daily Variety, "I think what the public wants is good stories. They like reality shows, but they love real television drama - original programmes with actors and scripts."
