COLLINS IN HARRODS STUN GUN INCIDENT

Veteran actress JOAN COLLINS had a taste of real-life terror while Christmas shopping yesterday (15DEC06), when a suspected thief pulled out a stun gun in posh London department store Harrods. However the former DYNASTY star, 73, kept her cool while security guards dealt with the incident. An onlooker says, "Joan was famous for roles as ice-cool beauties. Her characters would have been proud of the way she conducted herself today." The suspect, said to be in his mid-30s, was armed with a 50,000 volt taser gun and smashed a glass door before running away. He was then chased by guards. A Harrods spokesman said, "The man produced a hand-held stun gun and threatened the guard before fleeing. "There was a chase down neighbouring roads where the one security officer was joined by two others." The man surrendered 30 minutes later after running into a block of flats.
