COLLINS HIDES IN A BURQA

DYNASTY star JOAN COLLINS once resorted to wearing a burqa in a bid to avoid fans. The English acting veteran, 73, admits she donned the full veiled garment - worn by some Muslim women - so she could sneak out of her home at the height of her fame in the 1980s. She tells Spectator magazine, "I bought an all-encompassing Muslim-style burqa with only a slit for my eyes. "I walked slowly down the stairs of my apartment but unfortunately the first thing I hit was the ground, as billowing folds of black caught between my legs." Collins has since donated the clothing to a London charity store.
