COLLINS HATES LONDON LITTER, NEW YORK PLASTIC BAGS

JOAN COLLINS spends more and more time in New York because she hates the litter-strewn streets of her native London.
The 75-year-old diva admits graffiti and litter offend her "aesthetics and sensibilities" and she'd rather not have to deal with it on a daily basis.
But the fussy Brit has found another pet peeve in her adopted America - plastic bags.
She fumes, "They take 1,000 years to disintegrate (and) seals get them caught in their bellies."
Environmentally-conscious Collins, who insists on bagging her own groceries, admits her hatred for litter and discarded shopping bags, which she calls a "tragedy of modern life," comes from her youth.
She explains, "Growing up, if I so much as threw a candy wrapper on the floor, my family would give me a pilling off."
