COLLINS' DUI COURT DATE POSTPONED

LATEST: Actor GARY COLLINS has had his court date for drink-driving charges postponed - to allow him more time to complete his stint in rehab. The American TV star was arrested in Los Angeles in October (23Oct07) after crashing his black Ford Explorer into a blue Toyota while driving through Sherman Oaks. The collision caused Collins to lose control and career into oncoming traffic, where he smashed into two parked cars. Collins was charged with driving under the influence and driving with a blood alcohol level above the legal 0.08 per cent. The 69-year-old checked into an undisclosed rehabilitation facility shortly after his arrest - and on Friday (16Nov07), a California judge decided to postpone his arraignment until 6 December (07), giving Collins extra time to finish his 60-day treatment. If convicted, he could face a $1,000 (GBP500) fine and six months in jail.
