COLLETTE TIPS MIRREN FOR DOUBLE VICTORY

Australian actress TONI COLLETTE has tipped BAFTA winner DAME HELEN MIRREN for Oscar glory at the 2007 Academy Awards later this month (25FEB07). Mirren is the favourite to win the Best Actress honour for her portrayal of British monarch ELIZABETH II in THE QUEEN at this year's ceremony, after taking home the same accolade at the BAFTAs in London last week (11FEB07). Collette, whose film LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE is nominated for four awards including Best Motion Picture, poured praise on the 61-year-old, and is confident she will be celebrating a double victory. She says, "If I said anybody else I'd probably be fooling myself. There seems to be a flood and it's well deserved - she's amazing in the film."
