COLE SPEAKS OUT ABOUT LATEST HEALTH BATTLE

Soul star NATALIE COLE has spoken out about her recent health crisis, which left her dangerously close to death last month (Sep08), revealing she has a kidney dialysis machine to thank for her life.
The soul star was admitted to a New York hospital after a setback in her battle with Hepatitis C, and she admits the scare was just as awful as fans believed.
Cole tried to keep her health crisis a secret but word leaked that she was fighting for her life, and in an upcoming exclusive for U.S. news show Entertainment Tonight, the Unforgettable star admits she really was at death's door after her kidneys began to fail.
Appearing thin, but healthy, she says, "I was on my way out... If they didn't put me on dialysis, I would not be here. My kidney would not be able to function."
At one point, she reveals, her kidneys were only functioning at 10 per cent.
She adds, "I couldn't even get my head up off the pillow."
