COLE REGRETS DOCUMENTARY DECISION

R+B star KEYSHIA COLE regrets her decision to participate in a six-part docudrama about her life, because it was too painful to relive memories from her traumatic childhood. KEYSHIA COLE: THE WAY IT IS currently airs on US cable network BET and follows the singer as she retraces her childhood in Oakland, California. She says adamantly, "I just wouldn't do it again." In the reality series, Cole visits her drug-addicted mother in jail and recalls her hell in the foster care system and living on the streets before getting a break in the music industry. She explains, "I know there are a lot of young women out there that go through the things I've been through. "The only reason I did (the show) was I felt like I wanted to let them know they could make it through. "I talked to a close friend of mine and she said, 'Keep in mind the reason why you do it,' so that's what I did every day they were coming behind me with those cameras!"
