COLE RECEIVES NEW KIDNEY

NATALIE COLE is on the road to recovery after undergoing a successful kidney transplant in Los Angeles on Tuesday (19May09).
Cole is "resting comfortably" after the operation to implant the new kidney, which the singer obtained from a deceased donor via the organ procurement agency One Legacy.
The 59 year old has struggled with kidney failure while undergoing treatment for hepatitis C, which she contracted during her time as an intravenous heroin user.
Just last month (Apr09), Cole admitted she feared she would die before finding a replacement kidney.
The star is now set to reschedule her summer (09) tour dates, so she can fully recover from the operation and allow her body time to adjust to the new kidney.
