GIRLS ALOUD star CHERYL COLE has vowed to keep her distance from autograph hunters in the future - after one over-enthusiastic fan bit the star on the lip as she tried to kiss her.
Cole was left "shaken" by the incident which occurred when singer stopped to greet a young female fan outside the Malmaison Hotel in Belfast, Northern Ireland last week (beg27Apr09) .
A source tells British newspaper The Sun, "It left Cheryl petrified. This girl was hysterical and totally obsessed with Cheryl. She lunged at her and her brace must have nicked her on the lip. Cheryl looked absolutely terrified."
A spokeswoman for the band adds, "Cheryl was left shaken. As a result the girls have been more cautious greeting fans."
