COLDPLAY TO GIVE AWAY FREE ALBUM AT LIVE SHOWS
British rock quartet Coldplay are to give away a free live album at every remaining live concert this year, they have announced.
From the Viva La Vida star's first US tour date at West Palm Beach in Florida on May 15th, concertgoers will be given a copy of nine-track CD LeftRightLeftRightLeft.
The album will also be made available as a free download on the band's website from the same date.
A post on the band's website described the album giveaway as a "recession-busting mark of gratitude" to their fans.
"Playing live is what we love. This album is a thank you to our fans - the people who give us a reason to do it and make it happen," the foursome added on their website.
LeftRightLeftRightLeft was recorded in various cities around the world on the band's Viva La Vida tour and includes tracks such as Clocks, Strawberry Swing and Fix You.
The band's 2009 touring dates will conclude in at Wembley Stadium in September, with support from Girls Aloud and Jay-Z.
The announcement of the CD giveaway comes Coldplay unveiled the final list of support acts for their North American tour.
