COLDPLAY CHEER ON AUSTRALIAN TEAM AT ITALY'S EXPENSE
COLDPLAY frontman CHRIS MARTIN fired up the crowd during an Australian concert on Tuesday night (27JUN06) by slamming Italy - the country's rival in the soccer World Cup. The band played two shows at Sydney's Entertainment Center this week (Begs26JUN06) to sold out audiences. Martin yelled to the cheering crowd during the band's second gig, "We f**king hate spaghetti anyway!" The CLOCKS singer continued on his soccer-themed charge by changing the lyrics in the hit song GOD PUT A SMILE UPON YOUR FACE to "God give me style and give me grace, who needs a penalty in any case?" Unfortunately for Australia, the team was knocked out by Italy at the game in Germany on Monday (26JUN06)
