Coldplay - Coldplay Cancel Concert

British rockers COLDPLAY have cancelled a concert in Tampa, Florida due to unspecified "medical reasons".

The band was due to play at the city's Ford Amphitheatre on Sunday (09Aug09), but they have pulled out of the show citing illness for the cancellation.

The Yellow hitmakers will reschedule the performance, but a new date has yet to be set.

In an official statement on their website, the group's representatives write, "We're sorry to report that Coldplay have been forced to postpone their show at the Ford Amphitheatre in Tampa on Sunday, August 9th. This is due to medical reasons.

"The show is currently being rescheduled - we'll give you the new details as soon as we have them. In the meantime, the band have asked us to apologise on their behalf for the inconvenience this causes."

No further details about the band's condition was known as WENN went to press.
