COEN BROTHERS TO ADAPT BESTSELLING NOVEL

Award-winning filmmakers the COEN brothers are adapting MICHAEL CHABON's bestseller THE YIDDISH POLICEMAN'S UNION for the big screen. Joel and Ethan Coen are set to write and direct the screen version of the Jewish murder mystery - but the movie moguls have yet to make decisions about the cast. The Coens' current film No Country For Old Men earned the brothers a BAFTA for best director at the weekend, and is nominated for eight Oscars. According to website andpop.com, the brothers will start work on Chabon's story after shooting dark comedy A Serious Man.
