COCKER DISMISSES PULP REUNION

JARVIS COCKER has ruled out a PULP reunion at the Glastonbury festival, insisting comments he made about performing at the 2010 event were "twisted" in the media.
The Common People singer reportedly told British newspaper The People he was considering reforming the band for the festival's 40th anniversary, stating, "Glastonbury means an awful lot to me, I would love to play there again. We've talked about it, there we go; there'll be a band reunion."
But he insists the quotes were taken out of context and fans needn't get their hopes up for a get together.
Cocker says, "Pulp have no plans to get back together. Someone asked me if I fancied playing at the 40th anniversary of Glastonbury, I said yes, they twisted that into a 'Pulp reform' story. It's not true."
A spokesman for the singer/songwriter adds, "When asked if he would like to play Glastonbury again, he said yes. They assumed he was talking about Pulp, but he was talking about himself, his solo music."
