CLOONEY'S WEIGHT-GAIN MAKES MOVIE MORE AUTHENTIC
GEORGE CLOONEY is convinced the critical acclaim he received for his role in new movie MICHAEL CLAYTON is down to his fuller figure.
The Ocean's Thirteen star, 46, gained nine kilograms to play an attorney in the legal thriller - and is convinced the extra weight won over critics.
He says, "I'd had back and neck surgery and because of that my head hurt.
"I couldn't exercise, so I turned up on set 20 pounds heavier than I like to be, but I realised the state I was in served the character well. I was playing a guy who had nothing left to give."
