CLOONEY LAUGHS OFF PAM RUMOURS

Hollywood heartthrob George Clooney has laughed off claims he has been dating former Baywatch babe Pamela Anderson.

The Ocean's Eleven star said reports he had struck up a relationship with the blonde actress following the collapse of her marriage to singer Kid Rock were untrue.

In a statement issued through his publicist, Clooney ridiculed claims he had been to popular Californian haunt Valley Inn with Anderson for dinner.

"I worked with Pam seven years ago and haven't seen her since. And I've never been to that restaurant," the statement said.

Clooney is seen as one of Hollywood's most eligible bachelors, frequently topping the most-attractive polls as well as boasting an Academy award.

Like Anderson he has long been a pin-up in the US, although the actor has sought to move away from his television star image which first found him fame as Dr Doug Ross in the medical drama ER.
