CLOONEY HOPES HOSPITAL SNOOPS AREN'T SUSPENDED

Hospital workers who allegedly sneaked a peek at George Clooney's confidential medical records have been suspended without pay.

A total of 27 staff at the Palisades Medical Center in New Jersey where the Hollywood actor was admitted after sustaining injuries in a motorcycle crash last month have been suspended for four weeks.

The 46-year-old actor, whose girlfriend Sarah Larson also broke a toe in the incident, has said he hoped the hospital would not be too harsh on the medical workers.

"This is the first I've heard of it," Clooney said in a statement.

"And while I very much believe in a patient's right to privacy, I would hope that this could be settled without suspending medical workers."

Clooney and Larson were treated and released from the hospital on the same day after the accident which occurred in the north of the state on the afternoon of September 21st.
