CLOONEY HONOURED IN FRANCE

American star GEORGE CLOONEY has accepted a prestigious French award, marking his achievements in cinema. The Hollywood heart-throb was presented with the Chevalier des Arts et Lettres medal by French Culture Minister Christine Albanel at a ceremony in Paris over the weekend (1-2Sep07). Speaking at the event - part of the Deauville American Film Festival - Albanel recognised Clooney as the "quintessence of an American actor," noting his "limitless talent" and "irresistible charm."
