CLOONEY BRING IN THE CASH FOR OBAMA

Hollywood superstar GEORGE CLOONEY has helped raise thousands of dollars to inject cash into U.S. presidential candidate BARACK OBAMA's race to the White House by hosting a Swiss fundraising gala.
The actor was reportedly the star attraction at the event on Tuesday (02Sep08) at an exclusive venue in Geneva, Switzerland.
Over 170 U.S. citizens paid $1,000 (GBP550) each to attend the lavish party in a bid to raise nearly $1 million (GBP550,000) for the Democrat's election campaign.
Clooney, a staunch Democrat, has spoken out before in support of Obama, saying, "I've been an Obama guy for a year-and-a-half and I'm very excited by his campaign."
