CLOONEY AND OLD PAL SET FOR FILM REUNION
George Clooney and one of his most successful cinema partners are set to make a return to the big screen together this summer.
The partnership that has done so well in the Ocean's Eleven franchise will return in the latest offering from the Coen Brothers, whose past efforts include O Brother, Where Art Thou?, Intolerable Cruelty and The Big Lebowski.
Of course it is Brad Pitt who makes up the other half of the pairing. Together their combination – set to light up box offices this summer with the release of Ocean's Thirteen – will be reunited in Joel and Ethan Coen's next project, due for release in 2008.
Burn After Reading is the story of a dismissed CIA agent's bungled memoirs. It's not the content that's the problem, but instead the fact that he loses the disc on which they are stored.
At present it is unclear who will be playing the agent but the dry humour of the film – a hallmark of the Coens –makes this a little immaterial at present. Stylish good humour is definitely on the cards.
The film will also star Frances McDormand, who won an Oscar for her performance in the 1996 film Fargo.
