CLEAR CHANNEL BOSSES PAY UP AFTER GREAT WHITE DISASTER

The survivors of the GREAT WHITE fire that left 99 rock fans dead have been given another huge cash boost by bosses of media giant Clear Channel Broadcasting. The company executives have agreed to pay $22 million (GBP11 million) to those who witnessed the ill-fated Rhode Island nightclub show in February 2003. The survivors and victims' relatives sued the company, which promoted the Great White concert through its radio stations, after the blaze, which was sparked by an ill-advised pyrotechnics display.
