CLARKSON REVS UP FOR NASCAR DEAL

Pop star KELLY CLARKSON is teaming up with the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR) for a series of events in 2007. The WALK AWAY singer will perform a concert before one race meeting, appear in TV spots and she'll also get involved with NASCAR's charitable efforts. It's the first season-long marketing deal NASCAR officials have entered into with a music artist. The Grammy Award winner will perform on 18 February (07) on a live TRIBUTE TO AMERICA special prior to the Daytona 500 race. She will also serve as spokeswoman for the fourth annual NASCAR Day on 18 May (07) and she'll wrap up the racing season by performing at the Nextel Cup's Champions banquet on 3 December (07).
