CHIKLIS PENS SHOW ABOUT PONZI CONS

Actor MICHAEL CHIKLIS was inspired to write a TV series about pyramid selling schemes - after he fell victim to a scam earlier this year (08).
The Shield star got caught up in an investor con - also known as Ponzi schemes - in which victims are promised abnormally high returns on their payments.
But he intends to reverse his fortunes and use the experience to create positive effect - by penning a new TV series based on the scams.
Chiklis has spoken to other victims to gather anecdotes and information for the show, provisionally titled House of Cards.
He says, "There are fascinating characters who perpetrate these schemes. These rip-offs have become (pervasive). And there's more ahead, I'm sure."
