CHESNEY REGRETS RUSHING INTO ZELLWEGER MARRIAGE

Country star KENNY CHESNEY regrets rushing into marriage with RENEE ZELLWEGER - because he feels their romance could have survived if they'd have dated longer.
The odd couple wed in 2005 after a whirlwind courtship, but actress Zellweger filed for divorce just four months later, citing "fraud".
And now Chesney admits he was not ready for marriage and made a huge mistake by making the Cold Mountain star his bride.
He tells Playboy magazine, "Maybe we should have dated for a year or two. What would have been wrong with that?
"(But) we were just so excited and in love."
The former couple now rarely speaks, but Chesney has no hard feelings towards his ex, even after she publicly declared the marriage was "the biggest personal mistake" of her life.
The singer/songwriter says, "I thought it was a mistake too. Nothing positive came from it."
