CHEADLE 'SIGNS UP TO IRON MAN SEQUEL'
Don Cheadle will replace Terrence Howard in the next Iron Man film, reports suggest.
Howard played Jim Rhodes, who later becomes War Machine, in this summer's blockbuster.
The Hollywood Reporter suggests that negotiations over Howard returning for a second Iron Man film fell through after financial differences and Marvel Studios instead decided to go with Cheadle.
Jon Favreau is set to return as director of the Iron Man sequel while Robert Downey Jr will once again play Tony Stark and Gwyneth Paltrow will return as his assistant Pepper Potts.
Justin Theroux is said to be currently writing a screenplay for the sequel.
The second Iron Man film is set to be released on May 7th 2010.
