CHARLATANS TO SUPPORT THE WHO

The Charlatans have announced that they have been invited as special guests to support the Who at three of their summer shows.

Lead singer Tim Burgess and the rest of the band will be supporting the Mod heroes at Swansea Liberty Stadium on June 1st.

They will then support the Who for two nights at Wembley Arena in London on June 26th and June 27th.

The band are currently in LA, where Burgess resides, working on a new Charlatans album after the release of their singles collection, called Forever: the Singles, last year.

Charlatans will also headline the Koko in Camden tonight as part of the Camden Crawl event which began yesterday.

It looks set to be a busy summer for Burgess's band as they have also been invited to play the Rock Ness festival on the shores of Loch Ness in Scotland.

The Who's extensive UK tour will include a slot at Glastonbury festival before the Charlatans-backed Wembley shows.

They will also play the Isle of Man Festival and dates in Hull, Newcastle, Southampton, Sheffield and Birmingham.
