CHANNING EYES RETURN TO TV

Veteran actress STOCKARD CHANNING is eyeing a return to television - three years after ending her stint on hit U.S. series THE WEST WING. The celebrated stage actress, 64, won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series in 2002 for her role in the series, three years after first appearing as a guest star.
Signing on as a regular cast member in 2001, Channing enjoyed another five years on the political drama before TV bosses announced the show would complete its run in 2006.
But Channing's not ruling out another stint on the small screen: "The great thing about being an actor is the phone rings and you wake up in a different place surrounded by different people. That's what I love about it, so anything is possible."
