CHAMBERS RAPE CASE DROPPED
Rape charges against American martial artist-turned-actor JASON CHAMBERS have been dropped due to "insufficient evidence".
Chambers, 28, was taken into custody in Los Angeles on 11 November (08) before posting $200,000 (GBP135,135) bail.
He was questioned in relation to sexual assault and narcotics charges.
He was scheduled to return to court on 5 December (08), but the District Attorney has reportedly rejected the case, citing "insufficient evidence".
Chambers's attorney, Adam Zolonz, tells TMZ.com, "After taking the matter under submission, the DA's office found the lack of corroboration, delay in reporting, and the numerous defenses presented... to warrant a rejection of the complaint's ludicrous contentions."
The actor's credits include roles in U.S. TV series CSI: NY and daytime soap Days Of Our Lives. He currently hosts History Channel show The Human Weapon.
