MEAN GIRLS star LACEY CHABERT gave up alcohol after her one and only boozy experience when she was 17. The actress was struggling to play drunk in a episode of TV hit PARTY OF FIVE, so she decided to guzzle wine to help her relax into her character. But her first encounter with alcohol was her last - because she was so sick. She tells Maxim magazine, "In the hair and make-up trailer beforehand they gave me a glass of red wine... I'd never had a drink before. "I held my nose and just downed it. I got so drunk I couldn't remember my dialogue. After the scene everyone applauded . I don't think anyone knew the truth. "I actually got sick the next day just from that and haven't cared for alcohol since."
